to Patsy, Billy Jr. Jamie and all of the other children and family members please accept the condolences of the Peterson family from Soperton Georgia. Mr Bill worked with my brother’s Pat Peterson and Anthony Deadeye Peterson through local 474 and they thought the world of him. I met Mr Bill at 441 Speedway in Dublin Georgia where my husband and I worked for many years. Bill was liked and well thought of by the track owners, staff, crew members and fans . Local 474 has lost one heck of a good crane operator and the racing industry has lost an icon. We are all do very sorry for your loss. Bill will be missed. You all will be in our thoughts and prayers.May God bless and be with you.

I met Bill when I was 11 yrs old. He had the “coolest” 69 Camaro on the streets of Savannah.
Soon after he would take me deer hunting for the first time. He was always available to lend a helping hand. On behalf of my parents who have passed on, thank you for being a huge part of our family.

Bill it’s been a pleasure to be welcomed with opened arms in your family. I can honestly say you have made a huge impact on me. I know we didn’t really talk that much as being on the phone an all but shoot hearing all the stories now I’m not sure you had time to just sit an talk to anybody else in your day.(lol) How did you do it? But at the end of it all when we did talk you spoke some words of wisdom and confidence with a lot of understanding that you helped me with.. I can never tell you now how greatful I am to you for them talks. Them nights on the trailer while Billy was racing you said some powerful things to me. Or just in your shop when Billy walked away.. I just want you to know! I got you! I got him! I got them! You have been an amazing husband, father, grandfather, and father in law and friend .. Thank you for loving us as you did your own!!!! We are all gonna miss you .. until we see each other again … love you
