  • Mr. Hubert C. Baker

    Mr. Hubert C. Baker, Business Partner, Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer

    Hubert Clarke Baker - Hubert was educated in the Chatham County Public Schools graduated from Savannah High School in 1962. After a four-year tour of duty with the United States Air Force in Southeast Asia, Hubert pursued secondary education at John A. Gupton College of Mortuary Science in Nashville, Tennessee, completing his formal education in September 1970. Work in the funeral profession came early for Hubert on afternoons and weekends, during his teenage years, found him on duty at Henderson Brother's Funeral Home where he served until 1973 (with interruptions for military service and formal education as noted above). Terry C. Massey Funeral Home in Garden City was his next stop until 1979 when he became manager of Sipple's Mortuary.He became President of the Hubert C. Baker Funeral Home when it opened its doors on May 1, 1995. Hubert's personal attention to the individual needs of grieving families has become his trademark and his "very dear friends" constitute quite a loyal following. Hubert's civic activities include memberships in Landrum Lodge No. 48, F & AM, where he has served as organist for 26 years; the Scottish Rite Consistory - Valley of Savannah where he has served as organist for 26 years, former director of the Alee Temple Chanters; Past Patron of Richard T. Turner Chapter, NO. 332, Order of the Eastern Star; VFW Post 660, American Legion Post NO. 184 (life member); Lions Club of Savannah; Tybee Lite Shrine Club, Past Dean of Savannah Chapter - American Guild of Organist, Former Organist and Choir Director of Taliaferro Baptist Church in Savannah, Organist at Trinity United Methodist Church where he has served for the past 34 years, Past Grand Organist - Grand Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, State of Georgia, a member of the Pooler Area Chamber of Commerce, the National Funeral Directors Association, the Georgia Funeral Directors Association, the Georgia Funeral Service Practitioners Association, Inc., and a member of the Academy of Graduate Embalmers of Georgia.Hubert studied piano with the late Miss Lola Stevens and organ with William B. Clarke, Jr.

    Jason is the Location Manager of the Garden City Chapel. He is married to Christina Austin McCullough and they have a daughter, Kinley Grace. Jason is an active member of First Baptist Church Garden City where he serves as a Deacon and also teaches Children’s Church. Jason professional memberships include the National Funeral Directors Association, Georgia Funeral Directors Association, and the Academy of Graduate Embalmers. He is a graduate of Robert W. Groves High School, Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service and a board certified Funeral Director and Embalmer in Georgia and South Carolina.

  • Gary T. Vinson, Jr.

    Gary is a native of Savannah, GA. He is a graduate of Sol C. Johnson High School and continued his formal education at Gupton-Jones College of Mortuary Science in Atlanta, GA where he earned an A.S. in Funeral Service and subsequently earned an A.S. in Marketing Management from Ogeechee Technical College. He is a member of Zerubbabel Lodge #15, F. & A.M., The Scottish Rite Consistory-Valley of Savannah and the Alee Shrine, where he is a member of the Oriental Band, a Past State Master Councilor of Georgia DeMolay, and an Advisor for Cecil Cheves DeMolay Chapter. He is a member and Past Worthy Patron of Bethlehem Chapter #269, Order of the Eastern Star. Gary's professional memberships include the National Funeral Directors Association, Georgia Funeral Directors Association, South Carolina Funeral Directors Association and the Academy of Graduate Embalmers. Gary is married to Crystal Bryan Vinson and together they have two sons, Tommy and Bryan who are both students at Savannah Christian Preparatory School. The Vinson family are members of Compassion Christian Church - Henderson Campus.

  • Jennifer Waters-Torney

    Jennifer Waters-Torney, Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer

    Jennifer is a native of Savannah, GA and was raised in Port Wentworth. She attended Chatham County Public Schools and is a 1998 graduate of R.W. Groves High School where she was active with the Marching Band (Lettered), Concert Band, and Yearbook Committee. Jennifer is the granddaughter of the late Rev. J. Cohen Arms. She is a former volunteer firefighter with the City of Port Wentworth and before pursuing a career in funeral service, was a CNA and served in home healthcare. She is a 2013 graduate of Ogeechee Technical College where she earned an A.S. in Funeral Service. Jennifer is an avid animal lover and cares for dogs, cats, her tortoise, and fish. She has a deep appreciation of great white sharks and enjoys painting and poetry.

  • Tripp Hardee

    Tripp Hardee, Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer

    Tripp is a native of Baxley, Georgia. He began his career in funeral service in his hometown at Swain Funeral Home and received his A.S. in Funeral Service at Ogeechee Technical College in Statesboro. In addition, Tripp is the Minister of Music and Organist at St. Thomas Episcopal Church on Isle of Hope. He received his formal training in piano beginning during his childhood, and has studied piano and organ, along with undergraduate studies in education and music at South Georgia State College and Brewton Parker College. He is an active member of the Pine Forest Garden Club, Kiwanis Club, and the Savannah Chapter of the American Guild of Organists. Tripp is also a member of the National Funeral Directors Association and the Georgia Funeral Directors Association.

  • Angeline Mauro

    Angeline Mauro, Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer

    Angeline was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Shortly after marrying her husband in 2003, they moved to Washington, DC where her husband was Honor Guard at Arlington Cemetery as a member of the USAF Firing Party. Later, her husband's career in the United States Air Force Judge Advocate General (JAG) allowed them to also call New Jersey, and Honolulu, Hawaii home for a few years before completing their journey and establishing roots in Bluffton, South Carolina. Angeline worked in nursing at Hilton Head Hospital for five years prior to transitioning to the funeral industry. She obtained her A.S. in Funeral Service graduating magna cum laude from Ogeechee Technical College in December of 2021. Angeline is certified through the Cremation Association of North America, and has recently completed the Conference National Boards. She is a former United States Air Force JAG Key Spouse of Hickam, AFB, a member of the National Technical Honors Society, the American Legion Auxiliary, and an advocate and volunteer for the American Foundation of Suicide Prevention, Georgia Chapter. Angeline’s professional memberships include, the National Funeral Director Association, and the Georgia Funeral Directors Association. Angeline is married to Robert Mauro. Together, they have a son, William Hunter Mauro, and a daughter, Natalia Eve Mauro who attend May River High School.

    Kevin is a native of Savannah and is a 1996 graduate of Calvary Day School. He is a member of Windsor Forest Baptist Church where he is an active member of Sunday School. Kevin serves as the Crematory Manager for Baker McCullough Funeral Home and also plays a vital role in the daily operations of the funeral home. He is the father of Peyton and Alexis and when not working enjoys spending time with his family and watching TV.

    Denise is a 20+ year veteran of Human Services and Social Work; Denise has advocated for,counseled and provided case management services for adults and children withemotional, psychiatric and developmental diagnosis. For over 10 years, Denisevolunteered as a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) and advocated for childrenplaced in the foster care system.Denise is a professional Licensed Funeral Pre-Arrangement Counselor with BakerMcCullough and Denise takes pride in ensuring that the pre-arrangement process is navigated with dignity, respect and grace through open and honest communication. Denise is committed tooffering pre-arrangement services and “aftercare”, or post service follow up such as griefsupport resources.

    Mrs. Betty is a native of Lyons, Georgia and graduated from Lyons High School. She lives in Savannah and has two children, Debbie and Allan. She attends Reborn Nation Church in Bloomingdale and has worked at Baker McCullough Funeral Home Garden City Chapel for twelve years as the receptionist.

    Marion is a native of Savannah and is a 1964 graduate of Jenkins High School. He started working with Baker McCullough Funeral Home in 2002 while subsequently working part time at Darby Bank. In 1992, Mr. Baker directed the funeral service of his son, Ricky. He told Mr. Baker at that time that once he retired he wanted to work with him. He looks at this work as a ministry to help a family in their time of loss. Marion retired from Bellsouth in 2001 after 35 years. He also served in the Ga. Air National Guard for 22 years. He is a member of Bible Baptist Church where he is active with Sunday School. He has been married twice and both of his wives have passed away. His first wife, Sandy, died from the results of a car accident, they had been married for 3 years. He was married to Linda for 35 years before she died in 2018. He has 3 children, Stacey, Ricky, and Kevin. He enjoys his job because it gives the satisfaction of knowing he is helping a family at a crucial time in their life as he has been helped in the past. His favorite pastime is taking care of his pets and doing yard work.

    Chris Hanks comes to us from here in Savannah, Ga. With a bachelor’s degree in Emergency and Disaster Management from American Military University, he manages special projects and complex incidents as well as planning for future incidents. Chris also teaches new EMTs and Paramedics the techniques they can use to better serve their community. He currently serves as a Firefighter Paramedic and Level 3 Rescue Technician, responding to Savannah’s most complex and dangerous rescues within Savannah. Chris comes to us with a desire to help those who have left us as he helps the ones with us. Everyone deserves comfort and care both in this world and the next.Chris has been married to his wife for ten years and has two wonderful boys, 9 and 13. In his spare time Chris directs some of his time to environmental conservation, SCUBA diving in the rivers of the southeast cleaning trash and looking for lost items. Chris also enjoys cooking homemade meals both at home and at the fire station. Chris also is a handyman of sorts and fixes almost anything that is broken. Chris has also been a part of the local theatre community serving as a heavy rigger and former stage manager of the Historic Savannah Theatre, the oldest continuously operating theatre in the United States. This lead him into a love of history and a deep appreciation for Savannah and her history. He is always looking to learn a new trade and constantly finds himself in a book.

    Paul Harvey Jones "Harvey" grew up in Port Wentworth, Georgia and is a graduate of Robert W. Groves High School class of 1970. He is retired form Gulfstream after 25 years and worked for the City of Garden City as a Code Enforcer for 3 years (2006-2009). He is a member of Chapel in the Gardens Presbyterian Church since 1984. Harvey is married to Reba Jones of Garden City and has 3 step daughters, Marie, Kathy and D.K., 9 grandchildren and a great grandson. He has worked with the funeral home since 2004.

  • William “Billy” R. Kearney IV

    William “Billy” R. Kearney IV, Funeral Assistant

    William Robert (Billy) Kearney, IVBorn and raised in Savannah, Georgia, Billy graduated from Blessed Sacrament Catholic School and is a 1967 graduate of Savannah High School. Following graduation, Billy joined the United States Coast Guard Reserves. Returning home, he went to work at the Pirate’s House restaurant. In 1972, he became a Pest Control Technician for the next 27 years.In 1995, Billy joined the staff of Hubert C. Baker Funeral Home (Baker McCullough Funeral Home) where he soon joined the ranks as a Funeral Director and Embalming apprentice.In 1969 Billy married the former Susann C. Clarke and the two were blessed with two wonderful sons, Billy, V (Dawn) and Michael and two exceptional grandsons, Zachary and Landon. On July 11, 2022, the Kearney’s will have been married 53 years. Billy has been a practicing Catholic all his 74 years, attending Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church.Billy’s social activities consist of being a Charter Member of the Irish Heritage Society and the Hibernian Society of Savannah.

    Jack was born in 1952 in a two-bedroom house in Toombs County, GA where he was raised by his parents along with four siblings. They were called share croppers, which is a name used to describe families who live on other families farms. His dad put him on a tractor and started training him to work at the age of six and he continued to work until 2013 when he retired after 42 years in the dental field as a Dental Laboratory owner. He lives in Savannah with his wife Billie Jean of 48 years. He loves the oldies and his professional hobby is DJ events. He volunteered in the ER at Candler Hospital for six years, then came Covid-19 and was not allowed back into the hospital. He now works with Baker McCullough Funeral Home.
