William Lee (Bill) Reno age 93, passed away on February 17, 2026, at The Oaks in Pooler’s assisted living under hospice care in Pooler, GA.
Bill was born March 16, 1932 in Sanford, Tennessee to the late Claude & Mattie Lee Reno. He was adventurous by nature, drawn to the outdoors, and never afraid to take risks. He found joy in nature, freedom in exploration, and companionship in animals, which he loved deeply throughout his life.
An avid outdoorsman, William especially enjoyed hunting and fly fishing, finding peace and purpose in the quiet beauty of the natural world. He was also a talented painter who expressed his adventurous spirit and appreciation for nature through his artwork.
William proudly served in the United States Coast Guard from 1950 to 1953, where he served as a gunners mate.
Bill greeted each morning with an enthusiastic “Hello World!” He had an appreciation for life’s adventures that remained with him through the years. Whether exploring the outdoors, casting a line into a quiet stream, creating art, or simply enjoying the company of animals, William embraced life with courage and individuality. His stories, strong spirit, and zest for living left a lasting impression on those who crossed his path.
He will be deeply missed and remembered by family, friends, and all who knew him.
William was preceded in death by life partner Lydia Ruth Parker, his brother James C Reno (Fannie), and his son William Lee Reno Jr.
William is survived by his daughters Patricia Mikell and Susan McClelland (Andy), grand children and step grandchild, Linda Michelle Wallace (Charles), Jennifer Mizioch (PJ), Patrick Mikell (April), Jason Reno (Lisa), Chelsea Chick (Larry), Hope Rouchi, great grand children, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
