Obituary

Billy Albert Morris Jr., also known by his loved ones as “Little Billy,” passed away on July 30, 2026, after his short battle with cancer.

Billy was born and raised in the Montgomery community in Savannah, Georgia. He attended Bible Baptist and graduated from Calvary Day School, after which he began working in the trades. He worked for a number of companies before going out on his own and opening his own plumbing business. While he enjoyed his work, what he enjoyed most were the people- helping them, and the relationships he built along the way. If someone was in a bind or needed a hand, they knew they could call Billy, and he’d drop what he was doing to help however he could. Billy never met a stranger-and if he did, they weren’t one for long. His quick wit and storytelling could have a whole room laughing, hanging on every word. Billy always made sure everyone had a good time.

After starting his business, he took on his biggest and favorite role yet- becoming a father. It was the thing he was most proud of. Billy eventually found love with Julie, the love of his life, and the two spent much of their time together cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs. He loved his family immensely and cherished time spent with his cat, Mattie. He loved God, his family, and Georgia football- in that order.

Billy is survived by his devoted wife, Julie, daughter, Shelby, stepsons, Raymond Jr., Andrew, and Chandler, parents, Billy and Suzan, brother Joe (Tricia), sisters Ginger (Walter) and Jeanie (Jeff), niece Emily, nephews Ryan (Paige), Cole (Brooke), Cody (Hannah) and Alex, and other numerous relatives that he treasured deeply.
