Wayne Hendrix, Sr., 76, of Guyton passed away Thursday, June 22, 2017 at his home.
Wayne was a US Air Force Veteran; he served during Vietnam and also retired after 25 years of service. He was a Baptist and loved fishing, his family and especially his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Bobbie Jean Batts and a grandson, Austin McKuhen.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Sharon Pitts Hendrix; children, Wayne Hendrix, Jr. (Tammy), Michael Hendrix (Wendi), Theresa English (Stephen), Christopher Hendrix; daughter-in-law, Tammy Oglesby Hendrix; sisters, Mablene Starkey and Audrey Ann Holloway; brother, Jerry Hendrix; grandchildren, Justin (Vickki), Jessica (Dan), Bryan, Emily (Hunter), Kyle, Christopher, Stephen (Jade); 3 great grandchildren, Stella, Liam and Leraina; several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, June 24, 2017 in the Chapel of the Funeral Home.
