As the matriarch of her family, there was nothing she loved more than being a mother and a grandmother. She was kind and compassionate, always caring for those around her.
She was a member of Chapel by the Sea Baptist Church for over 40 years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harry Douglas; her sister, Henrietta Anderson; brother, Berman Hagin; sister, Edwina Bandy; daughter, Patricia Coty; and her beloved grandchild "Baby Jay".
She is survived by her daughters, Harriet Jandrlich (Michael) and Mary Ann Daniels (Rick); son, Harry Douglas III (Eileen); brother Ennis Hagin; sisters, Betty Hood and Joyce Bonner. She has 13 grandchildren, 27 great-grand children, and 4 great-great-grand children (5 generations).
