Pooler, Georgia - Timothy Arthur Provence, a dedicated former police officer and beloved family man, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on January 25, 1962, in Savannah, Georgia.

Timothy's formative years were spent in Savannah, where he attended H.V. Jenkins High School. He embarked on a distinguished career in law enforcement, dedicating decades to serving and protecting communities with commitment and integrity. Timothy began his career with the Savannah Police Department, followed by positions with the Monticello Police Department, Butts County Sheriff's Office, Tybee Island Police Department, and ultimately returning to finish a distinguished tenure at the Savannah Police Department. Beyond his professional life, Timothy enjoyed antiquing, a passion that took him to numerous flea markets, where he would find, buy, and trade antiques.

Timothy leaves behind a loving family. He is survived by his devoted wife of 40 years, Donna D. Provence; his daughter, Sarah Marie Provence (Robert Gordon); his son, Matthew Arthur Provence (Hannah Harrington); and his cherished grandson, Weston Provence. He is also survived by his siblings, Joe Provence (Cindy), Jerome Provence (Christienne DeSouza), Larry Provence (Linda), Andrew Provence (Angie), Celeste Provence (Trey Hopkinson), and Rachel Lanier (Greg), as well as Bob Frankosky. Timothy will be fondly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Gerry Provence.

A celebration of Timothy’s life will be held Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hodgson Memorial Chapel, with a visitation scheduled one hour prior to the service.
