Thu Lieu Cannon

Thu Lieu Cannon, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at the age of 82. Born on December 26, 1943, in Vietnam, Thu embarked on a remarkable journey when she relocated to the United States in the early 1970s, eventually making Savannah, Georgia her home.

Thu dedicated her life to nurturing her family. A homemaker, her greatest joys came from her commitment to her family. She enjoyed crocheting, a craft she shared with many in her community. She was an avid gardener and a wonderful chef who found joy in nurturing both plants and people. Despite having very limited resources, she was extraordinarily generous, always sharing whatever she had with others. Thu found immense fulfillment in helping others, always extending kindness and compassion to those in need.

She is survived by her loving sons, Christopher Cannon and Thomas Cannon, and her adored grandchild, Yuavi Linh Cannon. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Cannon, whom she has now joined in eternal peace.

A memorial service is currently being planned; further details will be announced once the arrangements have been finalized.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker McCullough Funeral Home Hodgson Memorial Chapel, ensuring Thu's final wishes are honored with dignity and care.
