Theresa Louise Jones

Theresa Louise Jones, of Pooler, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 27th, 2026, at the age of 74. Born on Saturday, December 8th, 1951, in the beautiful city of Savannah, Georgia, Theresa spent her life dedicated to her family, faith, and community.

Theresa is lovingly remembered by her sons, Arthur E. Bunton, Jr. and David L. Bunton, who were the pride of her life. Her legacy continues through her beloved grandchildren: Jason Hobbs, Rebecca Hobbs, Sarah Hobbs, Zachary Hobbs, Taylor Bunton, Makenzie Bunton, Baylee Bunton, Jeremy Bunton, Jacob "Jake" Bunton, and Olivia Bunton; and her great-grandchildren: Savannah Hobbs, Elliana Anderson, and Eliah Bunton.

She is survived by her dear son-in-law, William Hobbs, her brothers: Jack "Chesley" Shuman, Thomas O'Hara, Jr., Ronald O'Hara, Arnold O'Hara, and Edward O'Hara, as well as several nieces, nephews, other family members, and close friends who mourn her passing but celebrate her exemplary life.

Theresa was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Thomas J. O'Hara, Sr. and Hazel O'Hara, her devoted daughter, Sheila L. Hobbs, and her cherished daughter-in-law, Christen Bunton.

Theresa devoted her professional life as a housekeeper, ultimately retiring after many years of dedicated service. Known for her strong faith, she found fulfillment in serving the Lord and cherished every moment spent with her family and grandchildren, who brought her immense joy.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a visitation at Baker McCullough Funeral Home Garden City Chapel in Garden City, Georgia, on Friday, May 1st, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Following the visitation, a graveside service to honor and celebrate Theresa's life will be held at Greenwich Cemetery in Savannah, Georgia, at 3:00 pm.

Arrangements have been thoughtfully provided by Baker McCullough Funeral Home-Garden City Chapel, who ensured that Theresa will be remembered with the dignity and respect she so richly deserves.

Theresa's legacy of love and service will forever remain in the hearts of her family and those she touched. May her soul rest in peace.
