Terry Lee Cox, of Swainsboro, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 25, 2026. Born in Coshocton, Ohio, on January 22, 1954, Terry lived a life rich with love, service, and dedication to family.
Terry was a graduate of Ridgewood High School in West Lafayette, Ohio, and further pursued a certification in teaching from The Ohio State University. A veteran of the United States Navy, Terry honorably served from 1972 to 1976 during the Vietnam War, a testament to his enduring courage and commitment to his country. Before settling into retirement, Terry applied his skills and expertise as a welder with The International Brotherhood of Boilermakers Local 26.
Terry is deeply mourned by his loving wife of 47 years, Mary Lou Cox. He is also survived by his daughters, Michele Little (Jerry "Buck" Sullivan) and Jana Lee Bryant (Johnnie); and his cherished grandchildren Bethany Still (Kodie), Jayla Quick, Johnnie Bryant IV, Johnna Bryant, and Jolie Bryant; along with great-grandchildren Kinleigh Coker, Brittleigh Still, Cade Coker, and Riverlynn Still; as well as his precious dog, Gigi.
He is preceded in death by his father, Bob Cox, his mother, Imajean Ankrum, and his sister, Linda Sue Stiteler.

A private funeral service will be held for the family, arranged by the Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Garden City Chapel.
Terry Lee Cox will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
