It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Sunny Cooperman Brough, who departed this life peacefully on Saturday, June 13, 2026 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born on a crisp autumn Sunday, November 17, 1946, in the vibrant city of Brooklyn, New York, Sunny brought warmth, joy, and light into the lives of all who knew her.

Sunny spent her later years residing in Springfield, Georgia, creating a home filled with laughter, love, and music. Her life was a tapestry woven with vibrant threads of passion for singing, dancing, and sharing delicious food, a true foodie at heart. She cherished every moment spent with her family, nurturing bonds across generations that will forever be her legacy.

After a dedicated career spanning three decades, Sunny retired from her role as an Inventory Clerk with the US Civil Service at Fort Stewart, Georgia. Her commitment and hard work were emblematic of her character and earned her the respect and admiration of colleagues and friends alike.

Sunny’s heartfelt spirit lives on through her loving family. She leaves behind her cherished daughter Jamie Lynn Hubbard and her husband James O. Hubbard, Sr. Her adoring grandchildren, James O. Hubbard, Jr. and his wife Lacy, Alex Hubbard, Shannon H. Fletcher and her husband Ryan Fletcher, along with her great-grandchildren Colby Hubbard, James L. Hubbard, III, Raelynn Chrysler, and Kade Fletcher, nephews, Seth and Ira Fallick, will forever remember and honor her guidance and love.

Sunny is also survived by her sister, Sima Cooperman, brother Larry Cooperman, and her beloved nieces and nephew, Rachel Arrington and Benjamin Cooperman. Her impact is further extended to numerous friends who will miss her dearly.

She is preceded in death by her father, Abraham Cooperman, and her mother, Sadie Steinman Cooperman, who surely welcomed her with open arms into eternal peace.

The family invites you to join in celebrating Sunny’s remarkable life at a future gathering to be held in the serene and majestic Blue Ridge Mountains. Details will be shared with family and friends at a later date.
