It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Stanley "Stan" Floyd Nowicki, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
Stanley passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 16th, 2026, at the age of 67 in his home in Pembroke, GA, leaving behind a lifetime of memories and a family who will forever carry his love in their hearts.
Stan was born on May 27th, 1959, in Savannah, Georgia. He was raised in Savannah, Georgia and attended Calvary Baptist Day School where he was on the first football team for Calvary and ran track placing 3rd in the state of Georgia. Stan worked for a total of 41 years before retiring. Early in his working years, he took a job at the first Chick-fil-A that opened in Savannah. There is where he met the love of his life, Michelle. He worked for a short time at Union Camp where his father was the superintendent of the chemical division. He spent the rest of his career working for Savannah Food & Industries, also known as the Dixie Crystal Sugar Refinery in Savannah, until he retired. Through the years he was known for his work ethic, expertise, and unwavering commitment to the company. His colleagues remember him as a supportive coworker who was always willing to lend a helping hand.
If you knew Stan, you probably knew he could be a little “cheap”. But behind that was a man who understood the value of hard work and never wasted what he had. When it came to his family, however, he always made sure they had everything they needed.
Stan was a longtime member of Chevis Oaks Baptist Church and attended Emit Grove Baptist Church after moving to the Statesboro area to be near his daughter. His faith was an important part of his life. He loved the Lord Jesus and, in his own way, did his very best to live his life honoring Him.
Stan's greatest pride and joy was his family. He was the cherished son of the late Raymond James Nowicki Sr. and Hazel Floyd Nowicki. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Michelle Anderson Nowicki, and their beautiful & devoted daughter, Meghan White, along with her husband Colt. He adored his grandsons, Casey and Kesley, who brought immeasurable joy to his life. Stan also leaves behind his cherished siblings: Raymond Nowicki, Jr. and his wife Carlyle, Peggy Alberino and her husband Mike, Eric Nowicki, and Bruce Nowicki and his wife Marnie, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Some of his favorite moments were spent on the golf course, fishing with his grandsons, or simply being surrounded by the people he loved most. He was a hardworking man who spent his life providing for and loving his family. His legacy will live on in the family he loved so deeply, in the lessons he taught through his hard work, and in the memories that will be treasured forever. Stan's absence will be profoundly felt by all who knew and loved him. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
Though our hearts are broken by his absence, we find comfort knowing that he is now resting in the presence of the Lord he loved.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a visitation on Monday, September 21st, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Baker McCullough Funeral Home Garden City Chapel.
