Ruth Toshach Humphries, age 82, passed away Friday, December 16th, 2022, at Memorial Health University Medical Center after a short illness.
Ruth was born December 17th, 1939, to Charles Joseph Toshach Sr. and Nettie Lou Stocks Toshach. Ruth was a truly loving and devoted daughter, sister, wife, and mother. She was also known as a skilled gardener and animal lover.
She is survived by her son, David Humphries; daughter-in-law, Ena Boyington Humphries; grandson, Ryan Humphries; grandson, Randal Humphries; granddaughter-in-law, Leona Humphries; and great-grandson, Connor Cruse.
Ruth is preceded in death by her loving husband of 45 years, Elliott Humphries; parents, Charles Toshach, Sr. and Nettie Stocks Toshach; siblings, Sally Toshach Smith, Nettie "Sissy" Toshach Harris, and Charles Toshach, Jr.
Pastor Stephen Saxton of Island Christian Church will officiate a graveside service at 12:30 PM, Wednesday, December 21st, 2022, at Bonaventure Cemetery, 330 Bonaventure Rd., Thunderbolt, GA 31404.
