It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Robert Kenneth "Ken" Edwards, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, who passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 19th, 2026, at the age of 73, in his hometown of Savannah, Georgia.

Ken was born on Tuesday, June 17th, 1952, in Savannah, Georgia, to the late Robert Lovett Edwards and Doris Luvenia Thompson Edwards. He was a proud resident of Savannah for his entire life, contributing to the community and enjoying the natural beauty and culture of the region.

A dedicated and skilled auto mechanic, Ken worked for many years at J.C. Lewis Ford, where his loyalty and expertise left a lasting impression. Those who knew Ken remember him for his passion for the great outdoors, where he spent countless hours The refreshment he found in activities such as hunting, fishing, shrimping, and boating became a signature part of his life. An ardent music enthusiast, Ken delighted in every genre and never missed an opportunity to dance.

Ken was a respected member of the community and a proud member of Clinton Masonic Lodge No. 54 F&AM, where he forged lasting friendships that he cherished deeply.

Left to honor Ken's memory are his cherished children: Danene Casdorph and her husband Michael, Donnie Edwards, Dori West and her husband Tom, and Megan Edwards and her husband Patrick. Ken was a proud grandfather to Matthew Tyler (Anna), R.J. Edwards (Heather), Kaitlyn Harris, Hailey Knight (Jacob), Kendel Sapp, and Madison Casdorph. His legacy continues with his great-grandchildren, Bailey Casdorph, Lottie Casdorph, Gracelynn Edwards, Naomi Cannon, Roman Knight, and Eli Edwards. In addition, Ken is survived by his loving sister Christine Haughton and her husband John, alongside a host of extended family and friends who now mourn his loss.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lovett Edwards and Doris Luvenia Thompson Edwards and his sisters, Patricia Edwards, Janice Hollis, Debbie Edwards.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a visitation at the Baker McCullough Funeral Home Garden City Chapel on Saturday, March 28th, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. The staff at Baker McCullough Funeral Home Garden City Chapel, located at 2794 US Highway 80 West, Garden City, GA 31408, is entrusted with the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to a charity of choice in Ken's memory, embracing his spirit of generosity and love.
