With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Robert A. Denmark, lovingly known as "Bobby" and "Papa," who left us peacefully on Saturday, August 30th, 2025. Born on December 4th, 1949, in Statesboro, Georgia, Bobby spent his later years in Eden, GA, cherishing the love of family and friends.
Bobby is survived by his devoted wife of 57 years, Donna Hendrix Denmark, who stood by his side through life's many seasons. Together, they built a loving family and are survived by their daughters, Robin Denmark Johnson and Donelle Denmark. Bobby's legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren, Courtney Knight and her husband Brent, Joshua Robert Johnson, and Stephanie Burnside, as well as his great-grandchildren, Arielle Johnson, Ava Grace Baxter, McKinlee Rose Burnside, and Marlee Stokes. He leaves behind cherished memories with his siblings, Glenn Hamilton, Rufus Craig Hamilton, Dan Hamilton, Kenny Dickey, and Latrell Lively, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Bobby was predeceased by his beloved mother, Susie Denmark Hamilton, grandson Bradley Burnside, great-granddaughter Kinsley Knight, and brothers Ike Metts and Clark Hamilton.
Throughout his career, Bobby was a dedicated crane operator, retired from Maxim Crane Works. His years of hard work included roles at Tidwell Construction, Stafford Construction, and Anthony Crane. Known for his industrious nature, he was also a man of faith, being a member of the Baptist church. He was a member of the Local Union 474. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as fishing, boating, camping, and attending Blue Grass festivals.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 4th, 2025, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Baker McCullough Funeral Home Garden City Chapel. Family and friends are invited to gather and remember Bobby's life of love and laughter. Funeral services will follow on Friday, September 5th, 2025, at 2:00 pm at the same location. He will be laid to rest at Rincon Cemetery, where his family and friends can pay their final respects.
Bobby Denmark will be deeply missed but never forgotten. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him.
