Richard Outing

d. May 27, 2015

My Name is Richard Outing, the youngest son of the late Mr. & Mrs. James and Flossie Outing. I was born January 1, 1943, in Allendale South Carolina.

My parents moved to Savannah, Georgia during the early years of my life.

I was baptized with Tracy, my first born at St. Matthews Episcopal Church. I was very active in the church and I served as Jr. Warden and a member of the Men's club.

I received my education in the public schools of Savannah-Chatham County and graduated from Alfred Ely Beach High School.  Prior to my demise, I gladly served as president of the class of 1961.  In 1965, I met the love of my life, Jeannette Butler on a blind date. Six months later we were joined in holy matrimony.  To this union two daughters were born.

I served in the United States Army and retired from the United States National Guard. I became a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 500.
During my life's journey I was employed by Savannah Electric and Power Company, currently known as Georgia Power, until I retired.

I made my transition to my new home to be with my heavenly father on Wednesday, May 27, 2015.

I leave to cherish my memories a loving wife of 50 years, Jeannette Evelyn Outing of Savannah, Georgia;  three daughters, Tracy (Jimmy) Hundley of Jacksonville, Florida, Tammie (Ralph) Lovett of Savannah, Georgia , Dana Outing of Savannah, Georgia, Ricky and Jeffery (LeKeshia) of Savannah, Georgia ; Grandchildren , Brittany Hundley, Jimmy Hundley Jr., Jared Hundley, Ralph Lovett III, Ryan Lovett and Jakerria; one great grandson, Brayden Dawson; One sister, Betty Outing; one sister- in-law, JoAnn (Elzie) Fulks and two brother-in-laws Walter(Shirley)Butler Jr. and  Hollie Moultrie; A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews , cousins and friends.
