Obituary

Rebecca Ann Jenny, 67, passed away on June 25, 2026. She was born on February 1, 1959, in Savannah, Georgia.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Ty Jenny; her son, Chris Jenny (Cassie); her daughter, Erica Miller (Josh); and the lights of her life, her beloved grandchildren, Heidi and Jase Miller. She is also survived by her brothers, Barry Jenkins (Lisa) and Hal Jenkins; her nieces, Courtney (Donnie) and Ashley (Alex); as well as many cherished great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Annelle and Harold Jenkins.

A lifelong Savannah resident, Becky graduated from Savannah High School in 1976 and earned her degree from Armstrong Atlantic State University in 1980.

Becky dedicated her career to the shipping industry, spending 16 years with Star Shipping before retiring from the Georgia Ports Authority in 2024. She took great pride in her work and the relationships she built throughout her career.

Retirement opened the door to some of the happiest years of her life. She quickly discovered a passion for pickleball, one could even say she became borderline obsessed. She treasured the friendships she made through the game and loved spending time with her wonderful neighborhood friends at Bunco, book club, girls’ trips, and countless gatherings filled with laughter. Her family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to her lifelong best friend, Anne Hopkins, whose unwavering love and support meant so much, especially during the past several months, and to Carolyn Grantham, whose friendship became such a special part of Becky’s life after retirement.

Above all else, Becky’s greatest joy was being “Gigi.” Her grandchildren, Heidi and Jase, were the center of her world. She cherished their weekly sleepovers, never missed a school event, dance class, or celebration, no matter how small, and filled their lives with unconditional love. They were truly blessed to know such a devoted grandmother, and the memories they shared will be treasured forever.

Becky never met a stranger. She had an infectious smile, a generous heart, and a gift for making every gathering more fun. She was truly the life of the party, embraced every moment, and lived life to the fullest. Her kindness, laughter, and unwavering love for her family and friends will leave a lasting legacy in the hearts of everyone who knew her.

She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
