Peita Binmore, age 55, a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend peacefully departed this world on Saturday, February 21, 2026, in Savannah, Georgia.
Born on February 13, 1971, in Sydney, Australia, Peita was the cherished daughter of the late Peter and Diane Callaghan. She spent her formative years in Hong Kong, where she graduated from South Island School. In her youth, she enjoyed playing field hockey and netball. Peita went on to study Travel and Tourism in Sydney, embarking on a career that showcased her passion for exploration and connecting with people. Throughout her professional journey, Peita excelled in the fields of travel, tourism, and later, recruitment. She had a zest for living, finding joy at the beach or in the open spaces of the outdoors. A social butterfly, she made friends easily, and her infectious energy lit up the lives of those around her. Peita attended Compassion Christian Church at the Henderson Campus.
Her greatest pride and joy was her family and kids. She leaves behind her husband of 17 years, Jason, daughters Holly and Cleo, her mom, Gillian Callaghan, and her brothers, Adam and Sam Callaghan.
A memorial to celebrate Peita's life is being planned and will be announced. Please visit Peita's memorial page, peitabinmore.muchloved.com
Arrangements are being handled by Baker McCullough Funeral Home Hodgson Memorial Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Humane Society for Greater Savannah, located at 7215 Sallie Mood Drive, Savannah, GA 31405, a cause close to Peita's heart.
