Peggy S. McAlister

Peggy S. McAlister went to be with her Savior on Saturday, August 23, 2025.

She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Joseph Vincent McAlister, Sr; her father, Paul T. Sanders; her mother, Juanita J. Sanders; her sister, Lynette Flathmann; and her son, Joseph Vincent McAlister, Jr.

She is survived by her brother, Thomas Sanders; her daughter, Julia M. Hogan; her son, Greg A. McAlister; daughter-in-law, Karen McAlister; ten grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren with one sweet one on the way.

Peggy was a member of Bible Baptist Church which she loved dearly. She retired from Belk after working over 40 years. She was loved by all her customers and loved them just as much. Peggy enjoyed cooking and baking for family and friends, as well as caring for her plants.

The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hodgson Memorial Chapel, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, GA 31406.

Celebration of life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hodgson Memorial Chapel, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, GA 31406.

Burial Will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 27, 2025 Hebron Primitive Baptist Cemetery, Hebron Road, Garfield, GA.
