Faye Abuan Brown went home to the Kingdom of God on Monday December 15th, 2025, in her home in Hinesville, Georgia.
Born to Florentino Abuan and Damiana Dela Pena in Paniqui, Tarlac of the Philippines where she met the love of her life who preceded her in death, Jessie C. Brown. The two were married July 12, 1964 in her hometown of Paniqui.
Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by her son Michael R. Brown.
She is survived by her children, Jessie Brown II, Ross Anthony Brown, Charlotte Brown Madden and those she raised as her own, Kennylynn Manalo Boykin, Joseph Manalo, Joasall Garcia Driggers and Karen Driver Hickson as well as her sister Ling Abuan Gray. Although Faye was known as a loving mother to any child that walked into her home she was much more, a beloved mother, a grandmother, an aunt and a sister.
Her talents in cooking, seamstressing and beauty were known and adored by her loyal customers, friends and family alike. She enjoyed spending time with her family and teaching everyone of the beauty of her Homeland and the Lord. Along with her love of shopping, she was an avid collector of all things from sparkling jewelry and clothes to household necessities she would often send back to loved ones on the Island.
She was the cofounder and former president of the Ilocano Association of the Greater Jacksonville area and a successful business owner. While operating a Filipino grocery store, a nail salon, her seamstressing business and her cosmetology chair were always full, whether you were being serviced or losing your money to her in a game of Mahjong you were always welcomed with open arms and laughter. Her brightness and contributions kept the community close and thriving and her loss will be felt for years to come.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Faye's life at Baker McCullough Funeral Home Garden City Chapel in Garden City, Georgia. A visitation will be held on Monday, December 22nd, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 pm in the same location. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 23rd, 2025, at 1:30 pm at Jacksonville National Cemetery, Jacksonville, Florida.
