Nanci Hartland, 80, a free spirited soul raised in Camden, Maine, with roots tracing back to Ireland, passed away peacefully in Savannah, Georgia on March 22nd, 2024 with her granddaughter Lynn by her side.
She is survived by her four children, Jacquie (Ray), Jure, Rick, and Carrie (Tim); her grandchildren Lynn (Jared), Vanessa (Matt), Noelle, and Cindy; her great-grandchildren Kaleb and Jordan; her sister, Mary Brown; her brother, Cory Elmer (Peggy); and numerous extended family members and friends.
Her adventurous spirit led her to Southern California, where she embarked on a global journey of activism and humanitarian work. Through her nonprofit organization, Lifetracks, Nanci dedicated herself to improving the lives of others, particularly in Africa, leaving a mark of compassion and generosity across the world.
Her passport was a witness to all her adventures as she filled four.
She wrote all about her adventures in her book, "Conversations with Remarkable People".
Guided by the wisdom and mischief of her beloved Aunt Mamie, Nanci's life was full of laughter, mischief, and meaningful connections. Her spirit and contagious laughter left an unforgettable impression on all who knew her.
In the words of Nanci Hartland herself, "May your life and the tracks you leave behind be happy, healthy, wise, and reverent." And in her favorite four-letter word, "NEXT," Nanci reminds us all to embrace life's adventures.
Nanci will be deeply missed by her loved ones and remembered for her kindness, compassion, and unwavering spirit. Her legacy of love and activism will inspire generations.
