Michael L. Swinford, 62, of Savannah, passed away on Saturday, April 15, after several , decade's long , fierce and courageous battles with chronic illnesses.
He was born in Savannah, a son of the late Thomas R. and Marion W. Swinford, Jr.
Michael was always known for his great sense of humor and he never met a stranger.
Survivors include his wife, Jane Upchurch Swinford; daughters, Erica Mixon (Ryan) of Decatur, AL, Stephanie Coomer (Richard) and Tere Rushing (Patrick); son, Sean Aliotta (Tiffany); brother, Thomas R. Swinford, III (Kathy); six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Remembrances: Hospice Savannah, 1352 Eisenhower Drive, Savannah, GA 31406.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 18, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel, Savannah.
A funeral will be held Wednesday, April 19, at 1:00pm at White Bluff United Methodist Church, Savannah, conducted by Reverend John Haney. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
