Melissa Ann Methe Hamilton, age 69, of Savannah passed away at Orchard Health and Rehab in Pulaski, GA on Wednesday, July 16, 2025.
Melissa was born on August 29, 1955 in Anchorage, Alaska to the late Ernest M. Methe and Eileen S. Methe.
Melissa’s dad being a career U.S. Air Force man, Melissa then went on to live in Austin, Texas, Ipswich, England, Izmir, Turkey and then to Savannah. Melissa graduated from Windsor Forest High School.
Melissa’s proudest moments of her life were being mom to her two sons, Andrew and Ronnie, and grandmother to her four grandchildren.
One of Melissa’s favorite things was her love for music, numerous genres, and could remember and sing the song lyrics from her younger days and up until current day. Melissa’s favorite singers/vocalists included Whitney Houston and Michael Jackson. Michael Jackson’s birthday being on the same day as Melissa’s was always memorable to her.
Melissa had an amazing skill and talent for remembering so many people, places and things in her life.
Melissa was hard to challenge when it came to trivia, music, songs, movies, people she met and knew, family friends and acquaintances, and places she had lived and visited.
Melissa is going to be greatly missed by family, friends, and all those that knew her. Melissa is in Heaven now, forever happy, healthy, and at peace.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Baby Andrew Marcus Hamilton, II.
Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-law, Andrew Hamilton (Nicole) and Ronnie Hamilton(Fiancé-Mary Kathryn Abbot); brother and sister-in-law, David Methe(June); sister, Linda Humphries; four Hamilton Grandchildren, Kyle, Kaylee, Kayden and Kaleb; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, July 25, 2025 at 11:00 AM at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church.
Pastor-Fr.Gabe Cummings will officiate the Rosary, Celebration of Life, and the Gravesite Burial.
Internment will follow the service in the Catholic Cemetery.
A Rosary will be held on Friday, July 25, 2025 at 10:00 AM at the church, with a visitation to follow from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the church.
