It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Maximilien Hamon, who left us on Saturday, January 3rd, 2026, at the age of 46. Maximilien was a cherished resident of Savannah, Georgia, but his journey began in the picturesque town of Longjumeau, France where he was born on April 11th, 1979.
Maximilien was a beloved husband to Kelly Phuong Hamon, with whom he shared a life filled with love and laughter. He is also survived by mother, Marie-Bérangère Hamon, and father, Laurent Hamon, grandmother, Georgette Hamon, sister, Ludivine Hamon, along with her partner Yohann Baresse, mother in law, Isabelle Eaton, father in law, Dr. William Joseph Eaton, brother in law Will Eaton
Known for his vibrant personality and infectious humor, Maximilien brought joy to those around him with his clever puns in both French and English. He delighted in making others laugh and found joy in the simplest pleasures, enjoyed being an avid reader of books, driving his cherished Dodge Challenger, watching Kobe Bryant play on his favorite team the Los Angeles Lakers, but most of all Maximilien took the greatest joy in walking 5 miles a day with his rescue Jackahuahua, Aero.
Maximilien's professional life was as dynamic as his personality. He worked as a dedicated driver for Door Dash, bringing smiles and warm meals to many. His passion for the arts led him to the world of film, where he worked as a background actor on notable projects such as "Fear of the Walking Dead," "Manhunt," and Clint Eastwood's final film, "Jury No. 2."
As we say goodbye to Maximilien, we remember him not only for the roles he played and the roads he traveled but for the laughter he shared and the love he gave. His spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those he touched.
A service to Honor Maximilien's life will be held at a later date in France. Service times for Maximiliens service will be announced once finalized.
Maximilien's arrangements have been entrusted to Baker McCullough Funeral Home Garden City Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Maximilien’s memory to the Now I am Known Foundation (https://petermutabazi.com/thefoundation) for Foster Teens, WagsAndWalks.org, or your local animal rescue organization.
