Mary Caroline Banker

Mary Caroline Banker, age 91, of Savannah passed away Saturday, July 26, 2025.

Mrs. Banker was born on June 14, 1934 in Savannah, the daughter of the late William J. and Jessie Cleary. She was a school bus driver for Sacred Heart School for 13 years before working with Chatham Dress in Garden City where she worked for 7 years. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Banker was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Edward E. Banker, Sr.; son, Edward E. Banker, Jr.; and sister, Johanna Beecher. She is survived by her daughters, Mary Catherine Glover and husband Billy as well as Ellen Marie Bowley and husband Larry; 11 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 9, 2025 at Bonaventure Cemetery. Please dress casually in bright and colorful clothing to celebrate her life.
