Margaret Fowler Johnson

Margaret Fowler Johnson, cherished mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed away on Sunday, December 7th, 2025, in Savannah, Georgia, at the age of 82. Born on a crisp Saturday, February 13th, 1943, Margaret's journey began in the heart of Prince George's County, Maryland, where she was welcomed into the world by her parents, Albert Leroy Fowler and Thelma Myers Fowler.

Throughout her life, Margaret was known for her warm smile and kind spirit. She built a career as a dedicated Sales Associate at Sam's Club, eventually retiring after many years of service. Her early work experience included a position in the Meat Department at Kroger, where her hardworking and friendly demeanor left a lasting impression on colleagues and customers alike.

Margaret attended Quacco Baptist Church and Bloomingdale Nazarene Church, finding solace and community within her faith. Her free time was often filled with shopping trips, lively games of BINGO, and spirited adventures to the casino, where she delighted in playing the slot machines.

She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and resilience, beautifully reflected in the lives of her survivors. Margaret is survived by her loving daughters, Christine Irvin, Brenda Goldwire (Nate), Deborah Low (Mike), and Frances Williams. Her memory will also be cherished by her 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and her devoted sister, Audrey Moran. Margaret's presence will be missed by her extended family and numerous friends who had the privilege of knowing her.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Margaret's life at Baker McCullough Funeral Home Garden City Chapel in Garden City, Georgia. A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13th, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm, followed by a funeral service at 4:00 pm in the same location.
