Obituary

Lynn W. Davis, Savannah, GA, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2026.

Born November 5, 1933 in Johnstown, PA, he was the son of the late Dwight R. Davis, Sr. and the late Edith A. (Ferguson) Davis. He was a graduate of Savannah High School and served in the Army during the Korean War. Upon returning from the service, he continued working with Nabisco until his retirement. He was a devoted member of Southside Baptist Church and served as a deacon/elder for many years.

He is survived by his sons, Randal L. (Beth) Davis, Dwayne R. (Huy) Davis, and Christopher A. Davis of Savannah, GA; his brother, Ronnie Davis of San Antonio, TX.; and his sister-in-law, Debra McGee of Savannah, GA. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Justin, Mathew, and Ashley; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces, and great-nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Hazel (Metts) Davis; brothers, Earl B. Davis and Dwight R. Davis, Jr; and sister, Francis Louise Wendel.

The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Southside Baptist Church followed by a service in the church at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2026.

A graveside service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Southside Baptist Church, 5502 Skidaway Road, Savannah, GA 31406.
