Lillian Clydene Crosby Rawls, a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 16th, 2026, in Savannah, Georgia. Born on September 19th, 1947, Clydene lived a full and vibrant life, deeply connected to her family, community, and faith.

Clydene spent her entire life in her birthplace of Savannah, Georgia, cultivating a rich tapestry of friendships and community ties. She enjoyed a fulfilling career as a Clerk at Mercy Federal Credit Union, where her professionalism and kindness left a memorable impact on her colleagues and clients alike.

A devout Southern Baptist, Clydene found joy and solace in her faith. Her keen interests included reading, watching Christmas movies, indulging in Mexican cuisine especially when it involved a Margarita and attending live performances at The Savannah Theater, where the arts came alive for her.

Clydene was preceded in death by her father, Grover Thedus Crosby, Sr., her mother, Thelma Kangeter Crosby, her loving husband, Spencer Rawls, and her dear sisters, Delores Cooper, Nina Parrish, and Jackie Zipperer. In their memory, she cherished her family and extended her love and kindness to everyone she encountered.

She is survived by her daughter Heather Bagtas and her husband Jason, her son Douglas Spencer Stewart, and her brother Grover T. Crosby, Jr., (Cindy). Clydene leaves behind grandchildren Austin Winemiller and his wife Lizzie, and Jordan Winemiller, as well as four great-grandchildren who brought immense joy to her life and a special friend, Geri Rogers.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Clydene’s life at a funeral service on Thursday, March 19th, 2026, at 11:00 am at the Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Garden City Chapel in Garden City, Georgia. A visitation will precede the service from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the same location. Following the service, Clydene will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery.
