Leo "Gene" Shearouse

Leo Eugene Shearouse, 82, of Ellabell, died Sunday, August 7th, 2016 at his home.
A native of Savannah, Georgia, he was the son of the late Leo Shearouse and the late Maude Newton Shearouse. He was a graduate of Georgia Military Academy.
Gene served his country in the United States Marine Corps.
He was an insurance salesman for many years, a salesman at Dan Vaden Chevrolet and Lovett Furniture. He loved NASCAR, the Georgia Bulldogs, Savannah Braves and Atlanta Falcons.
He was a very active member of his church and served as a teacher of RA's and Sunday School.
Survivors include his children; Regina Shearouse-Allen, Paul Shearouse, Cindy Jeffers, Will Shearouse, Carla Shearouse and Cara Shearouse; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 1p.m. to 3p.m., Friday, August 12th, at Baker McCullough Funeral Home - Bonaventure Chapel, Bonaventure Road, Savannah. Services will be held Friday, August 12th, at 3:00 p.m. at Baker McCullough Funeral Home - Bonaventure Chapel, with burial to follow at Greenwich Cemetery.
