Laura Baird

Laura Jo Baird, a woman of immense kindness, style, and heart, passed away on January 1, 2026. A lifelong lover of fashion and sewing, Jo had a gift for making everything and everyone around her feel special.

Whether she was at her sewing machine or in the kitchen, her home was a place of connection and genuine warmth. She found great joy in travel, especially when it involved floating in the ocean, and she carried that sense of peace back home with her. With an infectious laugh and a devoted heart, she had a special way of making every guest feel like they were a part of her family.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Ron Baird; her daughters and their families: Katie & Pablo Sarmiento (and their son Luca); Julia & Jonny Baron (and their children Nash, Leni, and Lane); and Jenny & Taylor Davis. She is also survived by her siblings, Paula Ridilla and Charles Lesko. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Evelyn Lesko, and her sister, Karen Lesko.

Jo’s legacy of hospitality, laughter, and love lives on in every life she touched.
