Larry C. Kersey, age 68 of Savannah passed away Friday, June 27, 2025 at his home.
Mr. Kersey was born on December 5, 1956 in Swainsboro, GA, the son of Lillian and Wylie Kersey. He was a graduate of Southwest High School in Macon, GA. He loved working on cars and was an ASE Master Technician. He was the owner of Savannah Autoworx for many years. He was a member of Landrum Lodge #48 F.&A.M. He enjoyed horseback riding, fishing, woodworking, motorcycles, he enjoyed playing guitar, NASCAR racing, the Atlanta Braves, and the Georgia Bulldogs. Above all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids.
Mr. Kersey was preceded in death by his brother, Danny Coleman. He is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Debbie Kersey; daughters, Jade Bills and Taylor Kersey; stepchildren, Chris Gerrald, Jeremy Gerrald, and Zachary Gerrald; siblings, Linda Sue Kersey, Allen Kersey, and Debbie Kersey Hill; grandchildren, Ryatt Kersey, London Bills, River Bills, Weston Gerrald, and Stevie; as well as his beloved dog, Charlie.
The family will be receiving friends at 3:00 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hodgson Memorial Chapel, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, GA 31406.
A graveside funeral service with Masonic Rites will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at Bithynia Cemetery in Swainsboro, GA.
Pallbearers will be Don Sturgess, Donald Roberson, James Kerby, Ken Dobson, Robert Catterton, and Stanley Roberson; as well as honorary pallbearer, Doug Hamsher.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
