Mrs. Kelly Lynn Sullivan, age 62, of Bluffton passed away on Monday, July 21, 2025. Mrs. Sullivan was born on July 25, 1962 in Syracuse, New York to the Sue MacDonald and the late Edward Sullivan. Kelly attended St Matthews Elementary School in Syracuse, NY and then onto East Syracuse Minoa High School (1980). Kelly graduated from Oswego State University.
Kelly’s professional life got started at the Mutual of New York (MONY) where she found her true professional passion, she excelled in training and coaching people to be the best that they could be in their careers. In 1996 she decided to forge out on her own and started a consulting business focused on Leadership Development and Coaching. She had many clients over the years, large and small, local and national. Kelly knew that people were the key to a successful business and worked tirelessly to help each client achieve success.
Kelly was a wonderful, loving and supportive spouse to Jim Holland. They had over 29 happy years together and loved to spend time together boating, traveling the globe, or simply going for a car ride together. Kelly and Jim have four amazing children, Jay (Kelsey), Samantha, Corey (Jessica) and Patrick. Kelly is proud of all them and the wonderful people they have become.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by Thomas MacDonald (Step-father), Fran Holland (Father-in-law), Maxine Holland (Mother-in-Law) and Denise Holland (Sister-in-Law).
Survived by her husband, Jim Holland of Bluffton, SC; her mother, Sue MacDonald of Bluffton, SC; her children, Jay (Kelsey) Holland of Niskayuna, NY, Samantha Schuffenecker of Troy, NY, Corey (Jessica) Schuffenecker of Marietta, GA, and Patrick Holland of Minneapolis, MN. In addition to her children, she leaves behind four grandchildren: Isla Holland, Colden Holland, Willa Holland and Clara Schuffenecker (They were absolutely the apple of Grandma Kelly’s eye); step sisters and brothers: Michael (Nancy) MacDonald, Sherry (Tom) Shraven, Lisa (Michael) Lorhrberg, Karne Clarke, Kevin MacDonald, and Susan (Rich) Barnes.
There will be a celebration of Kelly’s life and impact on her family and friends on September 8, 2025 at Vito’s Ristorante, 320 E 1st St., East Syracuse, NY from 5:00 until 8:00pm.
