It is with deep sorrow and love that we announce the passing of Karen Cawley, Barry, Warner, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and dedicated servant of the Lord. Karen passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, in Savannah, Georgia, at the age of 87.

Born and raised in Savannah, Georgia, on September 14, 1938, to parents Henry Hughes Cawley Jr. and Beatrice Virginia Cawley, Karen dedicated her life to her family, faith, and community. She is survived by her devoted husband of 37 years, William Allen Warner, with whom she shared a deep commitment to service and faith. Karen is also survived by her son, Francis Harold (Renay) Barry, Jr. of Savannah, GA; her cherished grandson, Francis Harold "Trey" Barry, III, and his wife Lina of Atlanta, GA; and her brother, Edward Leon (Florence) Cawley of Savannah, GA.

Preceding her in death were her beloved daughter Ginger Barry, son Ronald Barry, and her parents. Karen's family was her greatest treasure, and she rejoiced in her roles as a mother and grandmother, nurturing love and joy in her family and beyond.

Karen's life was centered around her unwavering faith and commitment to service. As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she held numerous leadership positions including Primary Teacher and Counselor, Ward Young Women's President, Stake YW Counselor, Ward Relief Society President, and Stake Relief Society Counselor. Her dedication to teaching was evident in her roles as a Sunday School Teacher, Ward Missionary, Ward Librarian, and History Assistant Specialist for the Savannah GA Stake.

With her husband Allen, Karen served diligently in the Addiction Recovery Program and as a Temple Ordinance Worker, a testament to her compassionate heart and enduring faith.

A funeral service in honor of Karen's life will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Savannah, GA, on Monday, August 24th, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. Arrangements are being handled by Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hodgson Memorial Chapel.

Her life's work has left an indelible mark on her family, friends, and all those who were blessed to know her. She is now joyfully reunited with her loved ones who have passed before and will forever be in our hearts.
