Johnny Joseph Moffett, a beloved resident of Savannah, GA, passed away on Thursday, February 5th, 2026, at the age of 67. He was born on Tuesday, August 19th, 1958, also in Savannah, GA, where he spent most of his cherished life amidst family and friends.
Johnny was the loving father of Jessica Boynton and her husband Jonathan. He is survived by his brother, Charles A. Moffett, and his sister, Patricia Counts, along with her husband John. He was a proud uncle to his nieces and nephews, Crystal L. Cranford (Shawn), Nicholas A. Schupp (Hayli), Stephanie L. Brightwell (Jacob), Danielle Maynard (Matthew), and Whitney Counts. Johnny is also remembered by numerous other family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
A retired professional from Sanitation Services, Johnny was also skilled as a heavy equipment operator. He found great joy and satisfaction in working with his brother on small engines and vehicles, showcasing his love for mechanics and craftsmanship. Johnny was a devoted member of Temple Baptist Church, where his faith played a central role in his life.
Johnny was predeceased by his father, Charles John Moffett, his mother, Mary Ann Clanton Moffett, and his brother, Louis D. Moffett.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on Tuesday, February 10th, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Baker McCullough Funeral Home Garden City Chapel. A funeral service will follow immediately after, starting at 12:00 pm at the same venue. Following the service, Johnny will be laid to rest at Lower Black Creek Cemetery, where he will be embraced by the love of his family and friends.
