Ms. Johnnie B. Black, age 73, of Savannah passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2026.
Ms. Black was born on December 17, 1952 in Metter, Georgia and was raised by the late John Kirk Spires and the late Alice Amelia Cowart Spires.
She was a Loving companion and care giver to Mr. Jan Davis who lost his battle with cancer after a lengthy struggle.
A sweet and caring mother and step-mother to all her children, a passionate puzzle solver, with a brilliant mind, who had a love for all types of animals, a wonderful cook who made the best cream cheese pies, and caring person to loved ones and friends.
She was preceded in death by her son, Gordan Anderson “Andy” Taylor.
Survivors include her daughter Johnnie L. “Gidget” Seckinger, son, William G. Taylor, step-daughters Ashlyn Davis Durham and Ansley Davis Haines, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and multiple nieces and nephews and extended family.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2025 from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hodgson Memorial Chapel (7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, GA 31406).
A private graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2025 at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
