Mr. John Edward Taylor, of Savannah, died on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Savannah.
John was born on October 12, 1954 in Savannah to Jack H. Taylor Sr. and Mary Allison Taylor and lived in Savannah all his life. He was a 1972 graduate from Jenkins High School and worked with Local188 for fifty years as a pipefitter. In his spare time he enjoyed tending to his yard and being outside, he especially loved spending time with his family and friends. John was very hard headed, prideful, a man of his word and spoke his mind. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his sister, Edna Louise Witherington.
His family includes his wife of twenty-two years, Lisa Taylor of Savannah; his four children, Jeremy Taylor and his wife Rachel of Sylvania, Jason Taylor and his wife Olivia, Mary Taylor, and Elizabeth Tilson and her husband Shanard all of Savannah; brother, Jack Taylor, Jr. and his wife Linda of Kentwood, Louisiana; his three grandchildren, Grace, Elijah and Isaiah Taylor; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday evening, May 29, 2025 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hodgson Memorial Chapel (7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive Savannah, GA 31406).
A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens (315 Greenwich Road Savannah. GA 31404).
