IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jimmy
Lehani
August 23, 2018 – February 28, 2026
Funeral Service
First Assembly of God
11:00 am - 12:00 pm (Eastern time)
Jimmy Lehani, was called home on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at the tender age of 7.
Jimmy will be remembered for the unique spirit he brought to the lives of those who knew him. Though he sometimes showed a tough exterior, those fortunate enough to truly know Jimmy discovered a young man with a dry wit that could make you laugh and a smile so rare and genuine that it filled your heart with joy.
Jimmy loved spending time with his friends, whether it was racing them in math competitions at May Howard Elementary School on his iPad or playing soccer, where his athletic energy and determination shined. He enjoyed the challenge of keeping up with his friends and took pride in doing his best.
Family meant a great deal to Jimmy. One memory that stands out was a snow day when he took his iPad home and returned with many photos of his little brother, Biento, proudly sharing them with excitement. Moments like that revealed how deeply he cared for the people closest to him.
Jimmy could be a little hard to get to open up at first, but once you broke through, the reward was unforgettable. If you managed to make him laugh, it felt like walking on air.
He also had his own quiet traditions. During story time, Jimmy chose a special place right beside his teacher’s feet where he would sit and listen. No one else ever tried to take that spot, everyone understood. It was simply Jimmy’s place, and the class respected that. As they would say, “It was just Jimmy.”
Jimmy’s presence, humor, and the small but meaningful moments he shared will be remembered fondly by his friends, teachers, and family. His memory will continue to live on in the laughter, stories, and hearts of those who knew him.
To celebrate and honor Jimmy’s life, a funeral service will be held at the First Assembly of God on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 11:00 am. Burial will follow the funeral service at Greenwich Cemetery.
