Jimmy Allen Bachman, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and dedicated member of his community, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 15, 2025, at the age of 75 in his residence in Savannah, Georgia.
Born in Breen, Colorado, on July 11, 1950, Jimmy was raised with strong values and a deep sense of duty, which led him to enlist in the United States Army. His service during the Vietnam War was marked by bravery and commitment, earning him the National Defense Service Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal. It was during his time in the Army that he moved to Savannah, a city he would grow to love and call home.
After his honorable discharge from military service, Jimmy began a long and fulfilling career at Diamond Crystal, where he worked as a warehouse worker for over 35 years before retiring. Beyond his professional and family life, Jimmy was a committed member of the American Legion Post 184 in Thunderbolt, Georgia. His faith was a cornerstone of his life, and he was a member of Bible Baptist Church where he was an active member of Sunday School.
Jimmy was a devoted family man, cherishing every moment spent with his wife of 46 years, Denise Bachman. He is also survived by children, Gena, Brenda (Guy), Jimmy Jr., and Chris. His legacy of love and wisdom continues through his treasured grandchildren, Mason and Cody.
A visitation will be held at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hodgson Memorial Chapel in Savannah, Georgia, on Thursday, December 18, 2025, from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm, followed by a funeral service at the same location at 2:30 pm. Burial will follow the funeral service at Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park with military honors.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Bible Baptist Church, 4700 Skidaway Road, Savannah, GA 31404.
