Jerry Uritescu of Bluffton, South Carolina passed peacefully at the age of 86 in Savannah GA on Saturday surrounded by loved ones.
Mr. Uritescu was born in Roseville, Michigan to the late Raymond Uritescu and Ina Jean Voss. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Stamos; and sister, Casandra Huck.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra K. Uritescu; son & daughter-in-law, Michael & Theresa Uritescu; daughters, Tracy Uritescu Jones and Sheila Uritescu Hammond; four grandchildren, Tiffany Rose Gonzales, Megan Hamilton (Aaron), and Brandon Jones (Lydia), Drew Rivers; and five great-grandchildren.
Capt. Jerry Uritescu retired as a 20 year veteran from the USMC. Jerry was a Master Mason in Port Royal, and was also member of the Alee Temple, where he was active with the Dune Cat Unit. After retiring, he owned and operated an answering service. Jerry's passion in life was family, golf, golf and golf.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
