It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jeffrey Curtis Garrison, a nurturing husband, giving father, delightful grandfather, proud great-grandfather, caring brother, and loyal friend. Jeffrey passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 3rd, 2025, at the age of 70, at his home in Ellabell, Georgia.
Jeffrey was born on Wednesday, September 15th, 1954, in Bridgeton, New Jersey, to Joseph Charles Garrison, Jr., and the late Aliceann Elizabeth McCabe Garrison. He was preceded in death by his mom and his brother, Jon Clayton Garrison.
Jeffrey dedicated many years of his professional life as a manager at Waste Management, where he became known for his meticulous and strong work ethic. In honor of his country, he bravely served as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division of the United States Army, an experience that instilled in him survival, great pride and uniqueness.
In his personal life, Jeffrey was a man of great love and dedication to his family and pets. He is survived by his beloved wife, Catherine Lahey Garrison; ex-wife, Connie Blanton Garrison and his cherished children, daughter Reina Michelle Garrison and son Jeffrey Christopher Garrison; his step children, Lisa Biello and Sean Lahey; his father and mother, Joseph Charles Garrison, Jr and Andrea Garrison: and his loving siblings, Joseph Charles Garrison, III, James Craig Garrison, Todd Garrison and Robin Carol. Jeffrey was the proud grandfather of eight grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. He is survived by his dog Taffy and his dear friend, Kevin Boone who was like a grandson to him.
Jeffrey's life will be celebrated with arrangements further announced.
His family extends their deepest gratitude to all who have expressed their condolences and shared in the beautiful memories of Jeffrey's impactful and loving life.
He will be remembered for his love, courage, strength and grit.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Jeffrey's memory to The Wounded Warrior Project.
