Obituary

Gregory Landon Peed Jr., 46, of Pembroke, Georgia, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 25, 2026.

Born in Savannah, Georgia, on June 11, 1980, Greg lived an adventurous, spontaneous, and fulfilling life, defined by the deep love he had for his wife, children, family, and friends.

Greg met the love of his life, Stevee, in August 2008 after a career opportunity took him to Washington State. After several years, they returned home to Georgia to be closer to family and friends. They were married on October 25, 2013, and together were blessed with three beautiful children, who became the center of Greg’s world.

Greg inherited an eye for artistry from his father, which led him to begin his career at Custom Woodworks Interiors, building custom cabinetry for Gulfstream Aerospace alongside his father and later with his brother. He continued sharing his exceptional craftsmanship throughout his career with several companies, including Computer Components and Edwards Interiors.

Beyond his remarkable talent for custom cabinetry, Greg had many passions and hobbies that reflected his creative spirit and love for life.

Anyone who knew Greg knew that if he hadn’t built a successful career in cabinetry, he could have easily found one in the culinary world. His vision for homemade dishes was impeccable, and the love, care, and tradition he poured into every meal left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to share his table. One of his most cherished traditions was preparing an exceptional Mother’s Day meal for his mother each year—a labor of love that she eagerly anticipated and thoroughly enjoyed. For Greg, cooking wasn’t just about food—it was another way he expressed his love for those around him.

One of Greg’s greatest passions was Georgia Bulldogs football. There was nothing quite like watching a Bulldogs game with his children curled up beside him on the couch, often with friends gathered around to cheer on the Dawgs together. No matter what else was happening, game day was sacred, and those moments of laughter, excitement, and friendly camaraderie became treasured family traditions and lasting memories.

Greg also loved fishing with his children, hunting, golfing with friends, and embracing any adventure that came his way. Whether it was exploring a trail in the backyard or planning a trip to the mountains, he had a gift for turning every outing into a hands-on learning experience for his children. He found joy in the simple moments and had an incredible ability to see wonder in everyday life. He especially loved playing games with his children, where he could truly become a kid himself.

Above all else, Greg was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a true family man. He adored Zeus, the family’s loyal companion, whose wagging tail greeted him every day when he returned home from work. Spending time with family and friends brought Greg his greatest happiness. He never met a stranger, and his kindness, generosity, and willingness to help others were unmatched. If someone needed him, he would drop everything to be there, no matter how much time had passed.

Greg was preceded in death by his beloved father, Gregory Landon Peed Sr., and his younger brother, Johnny Peed.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife and “moon and stars,” Stevee Peed; his three beautiful children, Savannah Peed, Bella Peed, and Brandon Peed; His loving Mother; Virgie Peed his cherished niece, Jadynn Peed (Charlie); along with several aunts, uncles, cousins, countless friends, and all whose lives were made brighter by knowing him.
