After a long illness, Genevieve (Ginny) Schenck Teague died at home on the evening of April 13, 2026. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul Edward Teague and her parents James Philip and Mildred Schenck.

Ginny enjoyed a long career in education, first as a teacher and then kindergarten director at Calvary Day School. After retiring from Calvary, she continued her love of teaching and sharing her expertise with Savannah Chatham Board of Education at Heard Elementary School as a paraprofessional.

Ginny was a devoted mother, caregiver to others and a Christian who loved the Lord. During her last years of life, she received assisted home care from her loving and compassionate caregiver Brittany Barnwell and all of the angels at Amedysis Hospice. Ginny is survived by her daughter Paula Teague Morris, her son-in-law Murray Morris, her son and daughter-in-law Phil and Susan Teague, her grandson Patrick Neal Morris and her great-granddaughter Emma Morris Wallace (Jack).

Ginny was the rock of her family and will be greatly missed.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on the morning of Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
