Enos “Butch” A. Scott Jr., 79, of Savannah, Georgia, passed away peacefully at home on September 30, 2026.

Born on October 13, 1946, in Savannah, Georgia, Butch was a man who found joy in the simple things in life. He was an avid coffee drinker and reader, loved spending time fishing, and enjoyed a good meal at Waffle House.

Butch had his own way of doing things and a personality that made him uniquely himself. He will be remembered for the things he loved, the memories he made, and the people whose lives he touched along the way.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Enos A. Scott, Sr. and Geraldine "Geri" Wilson Scott; and his brother, Kenneth Scott.

He leaves behind his longtime partner, Carolyn Abshire, and his siblings, Richard, Robert, David, and Louise, along with extended family and loved ones who will cherish his memory.

Butch will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

May he rest peacefully, with a cup of coffee nearby and a fishing pole in hand.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 5, 2026 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Meldrim, Georgia.
