Ellen Renee Simmons, beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away surrounded by the love of those who cherished her deeply. Ellen lived a life rooted in faith, kindness, and devotion to family and friends. She never met a stranger and had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel welcomed and loved. Though she had no children of her own, she loved her nieces and nephews as if they were her own, showering them with affection, guidance, and unwavering support.
Renee was active in many religious organizations throughout her life, most recently with Coastal Georgia Vida Nueva. Her faith in the Lord was the foundation of her life, and she loved Him above all else. She found great joy in fellowship, service, and sharing God’s love with others.
She also had a passion for travel and treasured every opportunity to explore new places and create lasting memories with those she loved. Her adventurous spirit, warm heart, and joyful presence will be remembered by all who knew her.
Renee was preceded in death by her father, William Thomas Simmons; her grandfather, Claude Q. Falligant; her grandmother, Opal S. Falligant; and her little sister, Jennifer Leigh Simmons.
She is survived by her loving mother, Norma Jean Simmons; her brothers, John Simmons and James Simmons and his wife, Ruth Simmons; her beloved nephews, Justin Simmons, Zachary Peeples, and Gabriel Simmons; and her cherished nieces, Emma Edmonds and Chloe Elizabeth Simmons.
Renee’s legacy of faith, compassion, generosity, and unconditional love will live on in the hearts of her family and countless friends. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
