Dorothy Elaine Mitchell, 60, of Richmond Hill, passed away Thursday, December 7, 2017 at St. Joseph's Hospital.
A Savannah native, Elaine is the daughter of the late James Anthony Johnson, Sr. and the late Dorothy Marie McKenzie Johnson.
Elaine was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and a homemaker. She enjoyed fishing, shrimping, crabbing, working in her flower beds, it was said many times that Elaine had a green thumb because she could grow anything. She also enjoyed bowling and shopping.
Survivors include her husband of 34 years, Daniel D. "Danny" Mitchell; siblings, Rose Celeste, Charles Roberts, Judy Johnson, Cheryl Rush, Carol Brown, Kathy Brown, many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Visitation: 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Monday, December 11, 2017 at the Baker McCullough Funeral Home - Garden City Chapel.
Funeral Service: 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at the Chapel of the Baker McCullough Funeral Home - Garden City Chapel.
Burial: Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery.
