Donald "Don" Lamb, a beloved figure in the Savannah community, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at the age of 67. He was born on April 5, 1958, in Savannah, Georgia, the son of the late Collie and Lucille Lamb.
A proud graduate of H.V. Jenkins High School, Don cherished the friendships he made there and continued to gather with fellow alumni frequently. After receiving his Paramedic certification from Savannah Tech, Don devoted his life to serving others. He began his career at Great Dane but soon found his calling in Emergency Medical Services. Over the years, he served with distinction at LifeStar, MedStar, Effingham County, Bryan County, and Memorial Health University Medical Center, where he retired after 35 years of dedicated service in Emergency Triage. Don also worked with MedAire, traveling and teaching Basic Life Support Training, a role he found deeply rewarding.
Don joined Landrum Lodge No. 48 F.&A.M. in 1986 and served as Worshipful Master in 1996. He was a charter member of Coastal Daylight Lodge No. 750 F.&A.M. and an active member of the Scottish Rite Consistory - Valley of Savannah, as well as the Alee Shrine, where he was active with the Oriental Band Unit.
Above all else, Don cherished his family, especially his grandkids. He is survived by his loving daughter, Mindy Lamb Christie, and her husband Joe; his devoted sisters, Dell Belew and Mary Bradshaw, with her husband Bill; and his adoring grandchildren, Kailey Willis, Skyler Willis, Jac Christie, and Maddox Christie. Don was predeceased by his loving wife of 43 years, Deborah Louise Unser "Debbie" Lamb; his sister, Peggy Lamb Major; and his brother, Butch Lamb.
Visitation will be held at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hodgson Memorial Chapel, Savannah, Georgia, on Sunday, February 22, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. A funeral service will take place the following day, Monday, February 23, 2026, at 11:00 am at the same location. Burial will follow the service at Greenwich Cemetery, accompanied by Masonic Rites. Honorary pallbearers will be emergency personnel from MedStar and LifeStar, as well as the Memorial Health Emergency Department.

Arrangements are entrusted to Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hodgson Memorial Chapel. Don will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his community, his fervent love for his family, and his unyielding commitment to his faith and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
