Dennis Michael Coleman, of Midway, Georgia passed away on June 16, 2026 from a sudden illness. He was born on February 14, 1954 in Smyrna, Tennessee as the second son of Joel Richard Coleman and Yolanda Coleman. Dennis spent many years in the construction industry and worked for Palmer Johnson in Thunderbolt, Georgia before retiring.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joel R. Coleman; his wife, Tamara; his daughters Angelica and Brittany; as well as his brother, William. He is survived by his mother Yolanda Coleman; his brothers, Phillip R. Coleman (Sarabeth) and David; his sisters, Rosemary Ortiz (David) and Sharon Waters (Alan); his son, Shannon Long Coleman; stepson Jamie Moore III; his beloved grandsons, Nicholas James Taylor and Reid Sy Kendricks; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Dennis was an avid hunter and fisherman. His other hobbies included riding his motorcycle affectionately called The Beast, playing his guitar and showing off his culinary skills on social media. Dennis was loved by everyone who knew him and he brought joy to everyone he came in contact with. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Funeral services will be Thursday, June 25, 2026 at 11:00 am with visitation from 10:00-11:00 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, Georgia. Burial at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
