Deloris Frawley McNear passed away on January 19, 2026 from congestive heart failure.
The lifelong Savannah resident was 82. She spent the last few months in her home under the care of Hospice Savannah, and constantly attended by her daughter, Lisa. Retired from Gulfstream Aerospace after 23 years of service, Deloris was an accomplished seamstress and gifted musician. For over 40 years she played organ at the Derenne Avenue Church of God, Coastal Cathedral, and The Sanctuary. She cultivated a deep knowledge of minerals and gemstones, as well as butterflies. Above all, she was a woman of deep and abiding faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Charles Edward McNear; her son, Charles Eric McNear; her parents, Lewis and Elise Frawley; her brothers, Tyrone Frawley and Lamar Frawley; and her niece, Dana Coley Higganbotham.
She is survived by her daughter Lisa McNear Ridgdill (Ben); and sister, Barbara Frawley Coley; plus several nieces and nephews, and a large circle of friends.
