IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dale Jackson
Porter
June 22, 1964 – March 4, 2026
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Dale Jackson Porter on Wednesday, March 4th, 2026, at the age of 61. A resident of Port Wentworth, Georgia, Dale was born on June 22, 1964, in New Bedford, Massachusetts, to the late Glenn Dale Porter and Susan Alice Rubnacci Porter.
Dale's life was a testament to resilience, love, and unwavering commitment to family. After losing his father in 1977, Dale, at the tender age of 13, rose to the challenge of becoming the man of the house. This enormous responsibility, shouldered during his formative years, shaped the compassionate, dedicated, and strong individual he became. He kept a promise to his mother, ensuring she received the care she needed until her passing in 2017, reflecting his integrity and nurturing spirit.
Survived by his devoted sister Amy Marie Jalili, Dale also leaves a loving family to honor his memory, including his nephews, Thomas G. Peckham, Alexander M. Peckham, Dylan J. Lane and his cherished nieces Bianca M. Lane and Alexandria L. Porter. He is also remembered by his great-niece, Nova R. Peckham.
Preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Kelli Lynn Porter, Dale was a source of strength and guidance to all who knew him. He possessed an incredible sense of humor and a genuine spirit, always making those around him laugh and feel loved. Dale’s protective nature extended beyond family to his beloved rescue dogs, whom he cared for as his own children.
Music and dancing were some of Dale’s passions, along with his fervent dedication to family was his greatest pride. Those who knew Dale admired his straight forwardness, wit, and humility. He had a way of making everyone feel seen and valued. For his family and friends, Dale was not just a protector and advisor; he was a hero.
Even in his passing, Dale’s love and laughter continue to reverberate, leaving a legacy of warmth and integrity. His deeds and character remain cherished in the hearts of those he touched.
