She grew up in Savannah and attended Richard Arnold, Savannah HS, and Groves HS. She graduated from high school in Jacksonville, FL in 1969. After a divorce from Roger she transferred in 1982 to Chase Manhattan in Pennsylvania, where she met Efrain Santos. After a short courtship they married and in 1985 she gave birth to her daughter, Christina Eleanor Santos. After Efrain's tragic death in 1999 the family moved back to Jacksonville where they resided until Chris' retirement in 2009. After her retirement, she became a devoted grandmother to her several grandkids until her health declined. Chris loved to read, cook, dance and play with the grandchildren. She went home to be with the Lord after a long illness in Hospice of Savannah.
